Cities like Istanbul are made up of archaeological and historical layers that overlap each other. This stratification is seen as the quality and originality of cities. The erased and rewritten memory of cities and structures actually constitutes the cultural identity of the city and ours. So it belongs to us. All traces of life that connect the past and the future are the palimpsest memory of the structures. The intertwining of the old and the new means, in a sense, that the souls of different periods come to life in one body and shed light on today.

The aim of architectural design is the desire of this archaeological site to meet a wide range of users. A social transformation shaped the archaeological site, by creating an educational space… It was accepted while passing by, and it was aimed to create a space for people to use for cultural purposes in order to prevent it from being an area that did not even attract attention after a while.

Through this area, it is desired to create a public living space for the people of Istanbul and their immediate surroundings, where the history of the period can be read.

Architectural design will come into being with less material. In a way to strengthen the expression of archaeological findings… Gross concrete, wood, reflective surfaces such as concrete ceilings… The presence of the archaeological site is aimed to establish a visual connection with its surroundings with the reflective-reflective surfaces on the ceilings. The interior is shaped around a dynamic circulation that leaves the archaeological site completely exposed, where people perceive the project area along the perimeter of the building.
